What's more punk rock than a craft fair? Not much. And here are the pictures to prove it.

This is the question that will plague our minds until March. After posting the Cats That Look Like Hitler link, I realized I forgot to mention a congrats to Josh and Alison Gubser (who currently reside in Colorado) - they are expecting the first human addition to their family (they already have 2 cats) this upcoming Spring!

I took a trip up to San Jose for a wedding this last week and used my iSight, EvoCam, and Sprint's mobile broadband on my Powerbook G4 to take images every 5 minutes. This doesn't include every single 5 minutes (it's on motion detection), but it's quite a bit of the 9 hour drive.

Thanks to everyone that texted, e-mailed, phoned, and morse-coded happy birthday tightings to me today! I'm up in San Jose/San Francisco and wasn't able to respond to almost all of my messages, but know they were well received. Last night was a time of general debauchery for the bachelor party, today was spent in San Francisco eating great food and enjoying the amazing weather, and tomorrow will be used in Santa Cruz beaches and wedding rehearsals (as well as a mangerie party). Woot, woot - the big 26! It's good to be past that quarter-life hump. Now I can get down to business, marry a business man, and start poppin' out children!

From the director of Batman Begins and Memento (Christopher Nolan) comes The Prestige. And I can't wait.
The next is The Science of Sleep from the director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Michel Gondry). Very creative and whimsical.
It's good to see, what appear to be, some well formed and box-breaking movies coming out. I assume we can all thank Sundance for starting this indy filmmaker support.

Don't you just hate it when you're in the middle of a music video with G-Unit and it turns into an all-out gang fight during Christmas in the kids' nursery at Mid-City Church of the Nazarene? And of course they have to call in the military but your friends that are there are only worried about trying on prom dresses. Sheesh.

Yesterday morning I made my way up to Orange County to check out a trailer for my project and on the way back decided to stop by Laguna Niguel. On Friday I was shown the website for the 27th Annual Mooning of Amtrak that takes place near a saloon. I stopped in for a couple hours and witnessed quite the wide array of people all ready and willing to show their dairy aires to the coaster. It turns out to be more of a biker rally than anything else, but entirely interesting.
How it started
To best answer the story of the birth of the Mooning tradition, refer to the Sunday July 11, 1999 edition of The Orange County (California) Register newspaper, and the article headlined as, "Full moon over Amtrak keeps Laguna Niguel tradition alive", as follows: Twenty years ago (1979), at The Mugs Away Saloon, a K.T.Smith told his buddies he'd buy a drink for all who would run outside to the rail road tracks and "moon" the next train, which many did. The mooning tradition has prevailed, but there is no longer a volunteer to buy free drinks for thousands of "Mooners".
Many many thanks to: The City Council of Laguna Niguel, The Sheriff of Orange County, OCRRA (owners of the rail right-of-way), Metrolink Rail Agency and of course, our beloved AMTRAK, for their tolerance and contemporary open-mindedness.

So there's this guy, andy46477 on eBay, that decided to start leaving feedback for items he didn't even purchase.

No, not really - it wasn't boring, that's just the only rhyme I could think of. Tuesday included a trip to Coronado with Erin, Jeff, Sarah S, Sarah B, Scott, Aaron, and Jess. We met up around Shawn's tower and had general frolicking fun in the waves and on the beach. After watching the World Cup at McP's Grill and exhausted ourselves on the beach I went over to the Gates/Bulgrien's for the roof-top fireworks extravaganza. Good fellowshippy times.
Who THINKS of this stuff?!?

Yes, the weddings just don't stop. No no, they don't stop. They don't stop rockin' til you stop poppin' and the poppin' don't stop til morn.
That's my '90's hip-hop song.
Ash and Herms got married yesterday, so we've had yet another weekend filled with excitement. And what a very Ash and Herms wedding it was! A few highlights would include the ring bearer kicking and screaming down the aisle, Herms using a Ring Pop at the ceremony, Ash hula dancing for her relatives, and those of us that stayed long enough to dance the night away at the reception.
