Lipsmacking good time

I couldn't add these few postings without at least mentioning last night's evening fun. Whitney and I made our way to Lips last night at 8:30pm for "Bitchy Bingo". Lips is an incredible drag queen bar/lounge/restaurant in Hillcrest. About 2 or 3 miles from my neighborhood. Yes, that's right - we sat at a bar and played bingo with a bunch of drag queens. They then performed a musical selection on stage (good job Cashmere!). Regretfully there was only 30 minutes of bingo entertainment so we went to an Italian restaurant down the road. We sat and chatted for a good couple hours then walked around a bit and came home. Mmmm and also Whit had Scott (her dad) bring me a space heater before the 4 hours of meetings I had yesterday. Definitely nice to have some heat around here.

For those of you that are interested in the entertainment at Lips, here is the schedule as I remember it:

Tuesday - Karaoke Luau (although they say "you people", being non-drag queens, can't sing so it's only lip sync)

Wednesday - Bitchy Bingo

Thursday - impression night (Cher, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson = a white girl doing an impersoation of a black guy doint an impersonation of a white girl)

Sunday mornings - all you can drink bloody mary's, because the drag queen motto is "why go to hell sober?"

And apparently, according to Whitney, the bartender at Lips was hitting on me. Always nice to know I've still got it! ...
