The weekend til now

And here is a run down of the ongoings of the last couple days: I've slept quite good the last few days - only that one random fit on insomnia for me. Even though my sleep patterns are still crazy - going to bed around 4, waking up around 11 or so. Friday morning I worked and then met with Fabrice for a little while, then for lunch I met up with Eric at Rancho Food. Stef was there with a group from work for a B-day party so we chatted a bit. Heh, it was kind of funny - when you see someone randomly at a restuarant or out and about that you haven't seen in a while you can catch up and reminice. But when you see someone in the same random setting that you see all the time you aren't sure what to talk about. Haha. Because you still want to talk and there's no reason not to, but you aren't sure what to talk about. It was funny. Anyways, after Rancho's I went home, did some more work, got another version of the Concrete Magazine logo done, got the PLEENK skin done, etc. Friday evening (7pm) I met up with Steve, Chad, Dave Albert, Jennie, Sarah, Rach, Christie, and Michelle to watch Napoleon Dynamite.

Quick review of Napoleon Dynamite: I would have enjoyed it more if people hadn't told me I have to see this fantastic movie and I'll love it forever and ever until the world turns purple. And because everyone quotes the movie so much right now - I felt like I'd already seen most of it. The secondary characters were the best part - and I found myself laughing the most at the parts other people didn't find near as funny. Odd smirks or little sayings people don't get. All in all it's a funny movie, glad I watched it, but I wish I hadn't heard so much from/about it before I went.

After the movie we went to BJ's in Grossmont for Pizookie. We didn't get Pizookie. Instead - I got a calzone (for two so I could save some), we had potato skins, and fries, and the like. Nobody got Pizookie. Too bad! After BJ's I came home and worked on my website for a couple hours then got a call from Michelle. She didn't have anything to do today so I rode my bike to the NBH and picked up Eric's car (1:30am by now) and picked her up. Eric, Mich and I stayed up and chatted for a while, watched Scrubs episodes, then I finally bored Michelle to sleep while I worked on my website (oops) and I crashed on the futon. We woke up around 1am, watched 3 episodes of The Office, grabbed a pizza, then Whit, Michelle and I went downtown. We ate some chips and salsa and the like at TGI Friday's then went on top of the Ramada (St. James Hotel) for a while then came home. I began working on my website again and Rach called. She was up and energized because of her odd hours, so she came over here from about 1-3:30am and we looked at old Yosemite pictures, talked about our crazy families, etc. Now I'm going to sleep for 6 hours until church. Rach didn't know she was supposed to be working in the nursery so I may take over for her. We'll see.

Interesting bike riding story - on the way to pick up Eric's car last night at 1am I was riding down El Cajon Blvd. and saw an overhang from a building that I thought was made out of fabric. I ducked a little to try and brush my head under the fabric but quickly found out it was reinforced with a metal pole. I hit a metal pole with my head doing about 12mph. It knocked me back, I hit the wall and started skidding my body against the wall until I stopped. I was a wee bit discombobulated but luckily I had my dorky helmet on. Then I realized my music was not going! I quickly found the iPod and plugged my headphones back in. I was much more worried about hearing the song that was on instead of assessing any physical damage.
