Firstly, congrats to Drew. I talked to him earlier this evening and although a bit nervous, everything was going off without a hitch. My mom talked to him post-proposal, and apparently I'm scheduled to have a new sister-in-law! Congratulations to Jo Burch, as she has just accepted to marry my younger brother.
Drew saw Jo off today at around 1:30pm as she drove home to Kansas. He then flew up to Kansas City at 3pm, making it there with plenty of time to set up pictures, candles, have some one-on-one time with the parentals-to-be-in-laws, and make other preparations. I'll have to update when I know more, but I'm sure everything went swimmingly.
They're both joining us for our x-mas in Florida, leaving Wednesday, so we'll be able to congratulate them in person soon enough.
And as for those that will be asking - I, and the rest of the family, couldn't be happier - Jo fits right in to our bizarre world of sarcasm and slapstick, while bringing a great big smile and "shut up, Drew" smirk.
Congrats to my brother and soon to be sister-in-law!!!
