Radiohead Concert Pix

Last night Matt, Whit, Tannan and I went to the Radiohead show at the embarcadero downtown. This being a GA show we thought it would be a good idea to show up early, but it turned out that it really didn't matter. There were only 5,000 people there (for a RH show, that's real small) and of course the concert was amazing.

I've seen them a couple times before, but this was by far the closest I've gotten to the stage (standing equivalent of the first 10 rows) and I was a BIG fan of the a/v production. They had multiple cameras set up throughout the stage that would concentrate on a single musician element such as a guitar, microphone, drum, etc. and were synched with the lights and other projector trickery. The screens that the video was projected on were also oblong and distorted. All this just made the show that more great.

Most of the new songs they played were fantastic, slow, and dreamy - with a couple exceptions that I could have done without. All in all, I'm extremely glad we went and would suggest anyone that has the ability to catch one of only a few shows in the world during these non-tour dates.
