Displaced Designer

One of my students, Rachel, sent me this link to help those in the creative industry displaced by hurricane Katrina. I also found this site by the team over at Archinect. It's always great to see my profession surround those in need - I think it comes from the fact that a lot of creative professionals like graphic designers, illustrators, etc. see themselves more as artists (sometimes failed fine artists) and are tied more to social concerns and have a great respect for life and helping others. It's also interesting to see a site dedicated to one specific industry. Kind of neat.
