A few things I've done

Thursday night Matt, Bren, Anna, and I went to Rancho Food (more commonly known as Rancho's) to celebrate Matt's acceptance in to Columbia's med school. Nothing like good shittake mushroom burritos and smoothie sangrias. Post-dinner we went to M&B's apartment to watch Beauty and the Geek (final episode this Wednesday - go Richard!). Tiana and Eric were up in NorCal this weekend so the rest of the week, until tonight, was roommate-less.

Friday my friends Jason and Winter came to town for some more family time. Brendafer, Matt, J, Big Dub and I hung out at M&B's again to play Cranium. More specifically; Matt and I cheated our way to a fantastic victory over the rest of them. Good times. I then met up downtown for some dancing action at the Yard House - my virgin visit. Not a bad place - especially for no cover charge. I was there for only an hour and a half but it was a good time.

Saturday morning I awoke after a night of tossing and turning and played tennis with Scott (can't believe he came back to beat me 6:4, but then again I lightened up after he hit himself in the face with his raquet and busted his lip/chipped his tooth). Then to Wahoo's with the same Cranium group and to Funnies for toffuti. Saturday evening's festivities included watching a movie (I believe Saturday was Saved!) then going to NYPD Pizza (actually called New York Pizza Department, but we believe that name's not worth the time), then to OB's Wine Bar to see Heidi, Theresa, and the rest of their house. Hung out there for an hour or so then back to their place to watch Clueless on TNT. Josh and I soon realized we were the only ones still watching the movie around midnight and left with our tails between our legs.

Sunday morning worked in the nursery, then to Great Kahn's in Mission Valley Mall for a BBQ-licious meal with a big group of Mid-City-ites. Stuck around there for an hour or two until Josh and I came back to my place, realized we've pretty much beaten Burnout 3 for Xbox and went to HollyWood Video where I purchased 5 new DVDs (Friday Night Lights, Spanglish, Meet the Fockers, House of the Flying Daggers, and Hotel Rwanda) - all of which I'd never seen - and rented two new Xbox games which were instantly copied to my modded Xbox. Sunday evening Josh, Alison and I went to the Wright's casa to celebrate Johnnie's birthday and for me to play with Micaiah. I didn't steal him this time, but perhaps next time.

Today, this our United States' Independence Day, I woke up at noon (felt so good after the sporadic sleep I've had recently), played some Ninja Gaiden, watched Spanglish with Alison, took a jaunt over to Heidi's for a BBQ, then watched fireworks at the Gates'. All in all a pretty relaxing day, weekend, and week.
