Here's another quick rundown of what David Steele Overholt has been up to the last few days.
David spent most of last week looking for a new car. Friday he went to Matt and Brenda's to go over Dodeci's taxes and then went out with Heidi, Matt, Bren, Josh, Alison, and one of Josh's friends to Sunset Bowling. He had a lot of fun even though he sucked it up real bad at the actual act of bowling. He wasn't really trying though, just enjoying the time. When he got back with Matt and Brenda to their apartment he played Halo 2 with Brenda (sorry for murdering you Bren) and fell asleep. Saturday morning he woke up and headed out with Matt and Bren to LA. They arrived around 11am (just in time for Matt to purchase tickets to U2 in Seattle). Bren went out with her Mom to look at furniture and eat while Matt and David met up with a lady in Hollywood to look at a car. The car was crap. It had terrible terrible tears in the back from her great dane, a terrible smell, and she didn't know anything about the car. Not worth it. The other girl that was supposed to meet with David never answered her phone. So Matt and David hiked up to the Hollywood sign for a couple hours. Matt and David then met with Brenda and her Mom in Old Pasadena for dinner at a great mexican restaurant. Muy Bueno salad was eaten by David. Matt, David, and Brenda then drove to Redlands and had mochas and played darts with Winter and J. They drove back home and fell asleep. Sunday morning David worked down in the nursery with the toddlers and then ate at Wahoo's with Matt and Brenda. They dropped Eric off at the airport because he was on his way to Minnesota for 4 days for work. They met up with a woman that then sold David her 1996 Honda Accord EX V6 that is dark green in colour, beige leather interior, 134k miles, power everything, sunroof, and barely a scratch on it - for $5k. Georgie (the car) is a great new addition to David's life. David went with Matt out to the Wright's house to watch the Super Bowl and then back home to watch American Dad. Yesterday David bought a CD player (Alpine CDA-9847) and an adapter that lets David plug in his iPod and control it via the CD player (Alpine KCA-420i). He received a lower cost on the car because of a dent that would cost $200 to fix - the CD player was more important to David than getting the dent fixed. David also got a printer because he has a lot of things to print for CityWise. He sent off his first packet of information to Southwest Airlines yesterday and will be awaiting the response. David spent 2-3 hours installing said CD player in his car in Poway at the home of the Schollers. David then went to Tannan's house to watch Equillibrium with Whitney and Tannan. He then went home and did a lot of e-mailing and work, and fell asleep. Today David worked in the morning, had lunch at Creations Cafe, took a walk around Dana Point, worked more, went to Bread of Life downtown, then got a burrito and watched Scrubs in OB at the house Chelsea and Renee are housesitting at. What an incredible house!!! Huge, right on the cliffs, and empty. David's happy to have his car and has picked up even more work as of the last few days. Quite good.
