I just sent 6 of my pieces to Beatriz Milhazes for her insight/criticism. I'm not actually that nervous right now - I think it's because I've never met her. It's different when you've met someone face to face - right now it just seems like I've posted it on my website again or something. Not exactly real to me. But when I get her thoughts back - depending on what response and how detailed - I'm sure it will set in. Oh well, here's to hoping.
Side note - I have decided not to show any of my work from now on to my friends before I print them and put them on the wall. Since I live for praise and admiration I think I cater too much to what people want, instead of trying to focus on my artistic goals and endeavors. Sorry, you'll just have to come to the openings.
